Whistler Blackcomb offers down payment option on 2011-12 season passes
Whistler Blackcomb has announced the return of the spring price guarantee on unlimited season pass prices for the 2011-2012 season, if purchased by May 6, 2011. New this spring is a down payment option; pass holders can lock in the adult unlimited pass rate of $1,199, paying a non-refundable $199 (plus tax) deposit this spring with the balance charged in September.
“We think guests will really enjoy the new $199 down payment option,” says Stuart Rempel, senior vice president of marketing and sales at Whistler Blackcomb. “Last year guests had to commit to the following year’s entire season pass purchase in the spring to lock in the lowest price guarantee. Now they can secure the lowest rate for a deposit of $199, paying the balance in the fall. New season pass holders can put $199 (plus tax) towards next year’s season pass and for an additional $49 add on unlimited skiing/riding access between April 4 and May 23, 2011, as well as free summer sightseeing; $49 is an incredible deal, especially considering the amazing spring conditions.”
Additional perks with a season pass purchase include free unlimited summer 2012 sightseeing, 20 percent off quick-service food at the Roundhouse Lodge on Whistler Mountain and Rendezvous and Glacier Creek Lodges on Blackcomb Mountain, and 10 percent family discount on season pass purchases.
EDGE Cards for next season are also available, at the spring rate of $209 for three days, $319 for five days and $575 for 10 days, enabling guests to ski as little as $58 per day. Five- and 10-day EDGE Card purchased before May 6, 2011, come with a bonus early season day next winter (for use before Dec. 23, 2011) and one free summer sightseeing day. Unlimited spring 2011 skiing/riding, April 4 through May 23, 2011, can be added on to the purchase of next season’s five- or 10-day EDGE Card for only $79.
