Talented K2 team gives Canada potential for Nations Cup repeat

WHISTLER, B.C. — Canada has unveiled its team for the 2011 Whistler Cup as it goes in search of a fourth Nations Cup in five years.

The event, in its 19th year, brings together 450 of the best 11- to 14-year-old skiers in the world. It will be held from April 8-10 at Whistler Mountain.

The countries represented in 2011 are Australia, Austria, Brazil, Canada, Cayman Islands, Chile, Croatia, Czech Republic, Poland, Denmark, France, Hong Kong, Hungary, Israel, Italy, Japan, South Korea, Macedonia, New Zealand, Russia, Serbia, Slovakia, Spain, the USA and the Virgin Islands.

Canada puts together a K2 team for the event and is the defending Nations Cup champion.
