Northug, Norway claim gold in men’s relay
OSLO, Norway ― Petter Northug won his second gold medal at these nordic skiing World Championships in leading Norway to team cross-country relay victory on Friday.
Northug, who also won the 30-kilometer pursuit, sprinted clear of Sweden's Marcus Hellner in the final kilometer to win the 4x10K relay in 1 hour, 40 minutes, 10.2 seconds.
The Norwegian even had time to showboat on the final straight, kissing his fingers and braking at the line before winning by 1.3 seconds.
German anchor Tobias Angerer crossed the line third, 5.7 seconds back.
