New glades highlight Revelstoke upgrades
Revelstoke Mountain Resort in Revelstoke, B.C, is set to open for the season on Friday, Dec. 3. Revelstoke is eager for the opening of new resort facilities, the cutting of a new lift line and a continued buzz surrounding the resort.
Check out what's new for the 2010-11 season:
New glades
Get ready to explore two new areas of gladed terrain at RMR this winter: Beauty Glades, located below the Greely Bowl area, and Stop at the Road Glades, next to Burn Down in The Ripper area. The summer trail crew was busy cutting new lines in existing gladed terrain in Powder Monkey.
On-mountain accommodation doubles for 2010-11
Located at the base of the resort is the spectacular Nelsen Lodge, a luxury ski-in-ski-out condo hotel. The first of three buildings opened in March 2009, phase two is open for the 2010-11 winter season. The third building, the largest of the three, is well under way and on schedule for completion for the 2011-12 ski season.
The second base area dining is set to open in 2011
New for this winter, Revelstoke Mountain Resort will open “WINO the wine bar,” the second dining option to be built at the base of the resort. Picture a wine bar set among the cascading mountain ranges of Revelstoke, featuring wines from across B.C. coupled with rustic hearty flat breads, scrumptious après and luscious furnishings.
