Ryo Aono led a Japanese sweep of the men's halfpipe podium Friday at the FIS snowboard World Cup.

Martin 5th, Conrad 7th in Stoneham halfpipe
STONEHAM, Quebec ― Ryo Aono led a Japanese sweep of the men's halfpipe podium Friday at the FIS snowboard World Cup.
Aono finished with 1,000 points, followed by fellow countrymen Taku Hiraoka (800 points) and Kazuumi Fujita (600 points).
Brad Martin of Ancaster, Ont., was the top Canadian, finishing in fifth with 450 points. Justin Lamoureux of Squamish, B.C., was sixth with 400 points.
On the women's side, China's Xuetong Cai finished first with 1,000 points, followed by Australia's Holly Crawford (800 points), and Japan’s Haruna Matsumoto (600 points).
Sarah Conrad of Dartmouth, N.S., was the top Canadian, finishing in seventh with 360 points.
