B.C. racer Zaitsoff 4th in Nor-Am super-combi at Panorama
PANORAMA, B.C. ― Americans swept Sunday's podium as the Northwest Funds Nor-Am Cup presented by Continental Tire returned to Panorama Mountain Village near Invermere, B.C.
Colby Granstrom won the men's super-combined in a two-run combined time of 1 minute, 58.15 seconds. Nick Daniels was second and Andrew Phillips third.
Sasha Zaitsoff of Balfour, B.C., from Red Mountain Racers and the national prospect program, was fourth in 1:58.98.
The super-combined was a combination of a slalom run Sunday afternoon with a super-G held earlier in the day. Unlike at the World Cup level, the earlier super-G also counts in the Nor-Am Cup point standings.
American Ryan Cochrane-Siegle finished in 1:18.25, two-tenths ahead of Daniels, who picked up two podium results Sunday. Thomas Biesmeyer was third in the super-G.
The Nor-Am Cup continues Monday with men's and women's super-G races. S-Magazine
