In terms of prize money, it was the women who outshone the men this, as last, season. American Lindsey Vonn not only collected a record number of globes and wins this season, but also pocketed almost half a million Swiss francs. Second-ranked was Maria Riesch, who also earned more than 350,000 Swiss francs in prize money alone.

On the men's side, Didier Cuche leads the list ahead of overall World Cup winner Carlo Janka.

Cuche, the downhill title winner and five-time World Cup winner, netted 334,850 francs, nearly twice as much as last year. Janka, who won six races, increased his earnings to 305,673 francs, six times last year's figures.

Erik Guay was 14th on the men’s list, with 94,625 francs/63,083 euros.  SRC
