Murray rehabbing ACL, MCL knee injuries, optimistic for Olympics
After sustaining an injury to her knee during training runs for the Lake Placid World Cup on Jan. 22, Canadian Ski Cross athlete and Olympic team member Julia Murray of Whistler, B.C., continued to travel with the team to Aspen to meet with doctors and continue with her rehabilitation.
Murray sustained a partial ACL tear, grade 1 MCL tear and a medial meniscal tear. She has been undergoing a rigorous schedule of physiotherapy and rehabilitation that is yielding positive results, with a significant reduction in swelling and improved range of motion.
Murray will be returning to Canada early this week where she will further consult with Dr. Bob McCormack. Murray remains positive and continues to focus on racing in the Olympics on Feb. 23. SRC
